KRLD NewsRadio 1080 installs Burli newsroom computer system

DALLAS, TEXAS -- A leading all-news radio station in one of America's largest radio markets has begun producing its news with Burli's newsroom software.

KRLD NewsRadio 1080 today began using Burli for its demanding schedule of all-news programming. Reporters, editors and anchors use Burli to gather, produce and broadcast the news 24-hours a day in an all-digital newsroom. Burli replaces KRLD's separate text and audio editing systems with a single, integrated desktop application.

"Burli is a highly intuitive system and we're very happy to have it," says Tyler Cox, KRLD's Director of Operations. Cox and his news team chose Burli partly because it is both full-featured and easy to use. "After twenty minutes in front of it, you are already producing news," Cox says. "Burli is a very user-friendly piece of software."

The Infinity-owned CBS afillitate KRLD broadcasts to the Dallas/Fort-Worth area from studios in Arlington. Market research firm Arbitron currently ranks Dallas/Fort Worth's 4.4-million listeners as America's fifth-largest radio market.

"We are delighted to be helping produce radio news in one of America's most important radio markets," says Stefan Ellis, President of Burli Software Inc. "KRLD takes the quality of its news very seriously and we're honoured that in Burli the station saw an opportunity to make excellent news even better."
