Computer newsroom system releases build 170

VANCOUVER, CANADA - Burli, the news production software for broadcasters, has released an updated version of its main software package.

Build 170 includes a series of new features and upgrades that strengthen its position as a leading tool for broadcast journalists.

New tools include expanded audio conversion capabilities, extended support for MP2 and MP3 audio, XML support, optimization for low-bandwidth networks and dozens more improvements to the user interface and system architecture. Build 170 also adds support for new user languages including Thai, Finnish, Arabic and Farsi.

Build 170 is a no-extra-cost update for existing clients. The upgrade and detailed technical information are available on Burli's client support website: http://support.burli.com

This release underlines our commitment to constant product development," says Burli Software President Stefan Ellis. "The traditional idea in software is to release either minor patches or major new versions - often at a substantial new price. Burli takes the novel approach of releasing new features to customers as soon as they are ready and at no extra cost."

Additional features are in late-stage development and will be released to customers in updates in the coming weeks.
