National Public Radio station in Cleveland, Ohio selects Burli for news and current affairs production
CLEVELAND, OHIO - WCPN 90.3FM has today begun using Burli news software to produce the demanding news and current affairs output of their award-winning public radio newsroom.
"Burli will make a big difference to the ease and sophistication of our news production," says Dave Pignanelli, WCPN's Director of News and Information.
WCPN's journalists use Burli to write and edit local news, interviews and business reports through the day, and five hours of live news and interviews each weekday morning.
April Baer, co-host of WCPN's Morning News, says Burli's powerful set of tools will make the program a great deal easier to produce. "The task of finding, editing and taking news to air is so much faster and more efficient with Burli," she says. "We used to spend a lot of time running around the building putting the show together. Now we can do all of it at our own desks; the difference is amazing."
WCPN chose Burli after a lengthy selection process. The decision was based in part on recommendations from public radio colleagues who already use Burli.
