Leading radio station in Edmonton, Canada installs news software

VANCOUVER, CANADA - 630 CHED, News|Talk|Sports, the leading news-talk radio station in Edmonton, Canada has upgraded their newsroom to Burli. Station reporters, editors and on-air staff are producing more than 50 news and sports bulletins a day using the news production software. CHED’s sister stations, Power 92 FM, CISN Country 103.9 and CHQT AM 880, have also installed the system for producing their own news updates and for interview recording and editing.

CHED is the fifth major Canadian radio newsroom to install Burli so far this year. Vancouver’s two competing 24-hour all-news newsrooms and the leading radio newsrooms in Winnipeg and Calgary have also installed Burli since February.

In addition, Burli is the news production software used in both the English and French all-news radio stations in Montreal, and is currently helping journalists produce news in many other radio and television newsrooms in Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, Victoria and many smaller Canadian cities.
