CKWX News 1130 to install Burli

Canadian 24-hour news station chooses newsroom software package

VANCOUVER, CANADA - CKWX News1130 has chosen Burli as its new newsroom editing software. The 24-hour all-news radio station in Vancouver, British Columbia, has announced plans to install the system early next year.

News1130 is Vancouver's largest radio newsroom and the city's only all-news radio station. The station spent more than a year choosing a newsroom editing package to the needs of its demanding, always-live format. Whereas in most newsrooms newscasts are completed then aired, News1130's news, sports, business and weather run-downs are being simultaneously written, edited and read-to-air, 24-hours a day.

As part of their decision-making process, station management travelled to Europe and the United States comparing major news editing systems. They chose Burli for its combination of industry-leading features, reliability and ease-of-use.
