Netherlands Public Broadcaster chooses Burli
December 18, 2000

Provincial radio and television system to install Burli news production software

VANCOUVER, CANADA - Omrop Fryslân (www.omropfryslan.nl), the Frisian-language radio and television service in the Netherlands, has chosen Burli as its newsroom editing software.

Omrop Fryslân's staff of more than 100 journalists produces and broadcasts radio and television programming in the Frisian language from headquarters in Ljouwert. Frisian is the Netherlands' second official language.

Management at Omrop Fryslân made their decision in part because of strong word-of-mouth recommendations from editors at an existing Burli newsroom in the Netherlands. L1, a major provincial radio and television news broadcaster, installed the Dutch-language version of Burli earlier this year.

Also key to Omrop Fryslân's decision was Burli's willingness to develop a Frisian-language version.
