First Burli Software Award at BCIT

We here at Burli are very pleased to have awarded our first ever Burli Software Inc Award to BCIT Broadcast and Online Journalism student Hana Mae Noguchi-Nassar.

Working with the good folks at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Burli is happy to present this award to Hana Mae.  When we interviewed Program Head Connie Monk in November, she described the future winner as “Having a delight in audio, and how audio takes you to locations… Someone who has mastered… filing from the field, or putting together a newscast, and has that interest in being able to use technology to be able to be creative and innovative in journalism… What kind of a team player are they?”

Thomas Brauer of Burli Software was on hand to present the award to Hana Mae Noguchi-Nassar

Having met all these criteria and more, not only has Hana Mae secured the award, but she is also off to work at esteemed local news station CKWX News 1130 in Vancouver.

The staff at Burli Software offer Hana Mae our sincerest congratulations and best wishes as she goes off into the wonderful world of journalism!
